Comedy Central announced that Larry Wilmore, perhaps known best as the "senior black correspondent" on The Daily Show, will be replacing Stephen Colbert at the 11:30 p.m. slot in 2015. The show will be called The Minority Report with Larry Wilmore.
From Comedy Central's announcement:
Wilmore will take over the highly-coveted post-“Daily Show” time slot in January 2015 as host of “The Minority Report with Larry Wilmore,” a comedic look at news, current events and pop culture from unique perspectives not typically on display in late night television. The series was created by Jon Stewart and will be produced by Stewart’s Busboy Productions with Stewart and Wilmore serving as Executive Producers.
Pulling again from within The Daily Show 's ranks, Comedy Central is banking that the formula that has brought success to many Daily Show alums (except for maybe Rob Riggle) will continue to make rain for the network.
Immediate reactions from the internet commentariat were overwhelming positive. In fact, the only slightly negative remark was the thought that Comedy Central had tapped the wrong member of The Daily Show team to succeed Colbert.
Oh, man. I was hoping for @iamsambee. RT @TIME: Daily Show's Larry Wilmore tapped to replace Stephen Colbert http://t.co/HSV0LCfyNz

I think that would also be a great show.
Here's a great recent segment featuring Wilmore on the topics of Cliven Bundy and Donald Sterling.
