Late nights just got a little less Scottish. Craig Ferguson is leaving "The Late Late Show," which he's hosted for the last 10 years, at the end of this year.

Just like David Letterman, Ferguson made the announcement during a taping of his show. Ferguson's departure was kind of a matter of "when" rather than "if" after he was passed over for Letterman's job -- despite having the right of first refusal in his contract.

"CBS and I are not getting divorced, we are 'consciously uncoupling,'" Ferguson said. "But we will still spend holidays together and share custody of the fake horse and robot skeleton, both of whom we love very much."

The good news is that this announcement comes so close to the Letterman one that we can all re-use our possible Letterman replacement stories to guess who will replace Ferguson.
