To mark the anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings, Sports Illustrated invited all Bostonians to show up last weekend at the marathon's finish line wearing as much Boston-themed merchandise they could manage. This is the inspiring result.

Sports Illustrated says roughly 3,000 people came to the photo shoot on Boylston Street Saturday morning, including "runners who were near the blast, first responders, and mayor Marty Walsh." The cover story by senior writer S.L. Price is not online yet, but you can check out this essay from Boston Red Sox player David Ortiz on the city's strength in the wake of the tragedy. SI also released a high-def version of the photo, featuring all 3,000 people, with a tool that lets you to locate yourself or someone you know in the crowd
