Check Out the First Trailer For David Fincher's 'Gone Girl'
It looks like all the standard Fincher visual trademarks are here.
Here’s our first glimpse at David Fincher’s adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s best-selling novel Gone Girl, starring Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne and Rosamund Pike as his missing wife Amy.
It looks like all the standard Fincher visual trademarks are here. Shadowy, yellow interior shots punctuated with one or two points of light, daytime scenes with a pale blue tinge, drably-lit hallways and conference rooms, etc.
Even scoring a trailer with a slightly sinister cover of a rock song—Richard Butler performing Elvis Costello’s “She,” in this case—has been done before. I guess if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Gone Girl is set to be released on October 3 of this year.
