The post-Super Bowl episode of New Girl featured a charming turn from New Girl fan Prince, who appeared as himself to help Jess tell Nick she loves him. It also featured a totally unnecessary duet between Zooey Deschanel and Prince. Now, you can listen to that whole, silly thing.

Prince, obviously, is Prince. Deschanel, meanwhile, has built a nice career for herself away from the world of acting as the "she" component of the band She & Him. Did they need to collaborate on a pop confection? Probably not. Listen below via Slate:
