There's a new teaser out for the first part of the final season of Mad Men. It's cryptic! What did you expect?

The teaser set to the tune of "Que Sera, Sera" shows Don Draper getting of a plane (TWA!) in a bright, sunny locale, and putting on a hat. He looks sort of brooding. It's Don Draper! Obviously!

Now remember, last season ended with Sterling Cooper & Partners expanding west, so it could be that Don has just landed in Los Angeles in this teaser. When we last left him, however, Don had been instructed by the other partners to take an indefinite leave of absence. So what does this mean? Is Draper back with the SC&P gang? Is he up to something else? Will we overanalyze? Of course!

The best thing about this, obviously, is the reminder that we're a little over a month away before we get more Mad Men.

Update: The New York Times's Randy Kennedy revealed later in the day that Creator Matthew Weiner enlisted Milton Glaser, the man who created the "I ♥ NY" logo to design this season's promotional materials. The poster has a pretty perfect late 1960s aesthetic, which makes sense since it comes from a master of the form working during the period. As for what it means, Weiner obviously didn't let much on. "This is related to the late ’60s, which is all I will say about it," he said. “It maintains the idea that this is somehow going on in Don Draper’s mind, which is what the story is always about — and what the back of his head is about, on some level.”
