Today in celebrity gossip: Justin Bieber's ex-girlfriend may have gone to rehab in January, Katie Holmes may be dating Jamie Foxx, and Taylor Swift is a square and proud of it.

Last December, actress and singer Selena Gomez took one look at her touring schedule, flipped it the double-bird, and went on vacation. It seemed like a very good and reasonable decision in that she had bigger fish to fry career-wise, but also maybe consuming so much workahol since childhood meant she needed to slow down a bit? Well, now Radar reports Selena Gomez may have been drinking too much alcohol as well, or as a source puts it, she was "partying very hard." That, coupled with some "emotional issues" and dalliances with "marijuana and prescription drugs, including Xanax and Ambien" contributed to Gomez's parents urging her to do a secret stint at Dawn at The Meadows recovery facility in Arizona sometime around January 5. Radar offers no shortage of additional theories behind Gomez's rehab stay, including residual issues surrounding her breakup with Justin Bieber as well as run-of-the-mill exhaustion, but take heart! Their source also states that "Selena is now happy and very healthy and already getting back to work." It's not clear if she'll ever make it over to Australia for that tour, but at least she seems to be doing better than her ex, right? [Radar]

Hold up: Are Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx dating? Page Six claims that "rumors of a secret romance between Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx continue to swirl" but I had NOT heard of those rumors at their inception. Had you? Apparently the two were spotted hanging out around the Super Bowl this past weekend and they've apparently been dating in secret since last summer? Man, that is some next-level celebrity secrecy. The obvious difficulty with this particular affair would be Jamie Foxx's ongoing friendship with Collateral co-star Tom Cruise, so it would make sense for Holmes to not particularly want the public knowing about it. But also remember Katie Holmes' clandestine, Mission: Impossible-esque divorce from Cruise? Maybe extreme secrecy is just how she rolls. For his part Foxx denied a relationship last summer, but has been mum on the subject when re-asked about it this week. Meanwhile Holmes' representatives have flat-out denied the new rumors. In related news, Disturbing Behavior 2 has still not been greenlit. [Page Six]

Taylor Swift has an interview in the new issue of Glamour magazine in which she made THIS controversial statement: "I find it relatively easy to keep my clothes on." First of all, why are you bragging, Taylor Swift? The plain truth is that for many of us keeping clothes on is a very difficult proposition. Riptides. Strong winds. Animated fairies with a zest for makeovers. Coyotes. Any one of these things could render a fully clothed person into an accidental Lady Godiva. Okay? Get off that high horse. But anyway, I guess in context Swift meant that she believes she's more of a risk-taker emotionally than epidermis-exposingly:

For me, "risky" is revealing what really happened in my life through music. Risky is writing confessional songs and telling the true story about a person with enough details so everyone knows who that person is. That's putting myself out there, maybe even more than taking my shirt off.

She forgot the part about how actively pursuing relationships with famous men guaranteed to provide fodder for breakup songs (and thus speculative gossip and thus hit singles and thus millions of dollars) sort of mitigates most of that risk. But still. At least she's covered up! [People]

No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani recently came under fire for tweeting a picture of a teenager receiving an autograph from Sting and Stefani described the young woman as "chunky." The woman was, of course, HERSELF, but that didn't keep followers and fans from immediately accusing Stefani of body-shaming. Us Weekly singled out one response that read "Too many girls and women look up to you for you to talk like that." Because yes, young Stefani appears noticeably larger than the modern, possibly CGI version that currently roams Beverly Hills occasionally releasing eerily perfect children, but that did NOT merit the use of such a negative term as "chunky." Literally how dare she? Words hurt, even when they are charming, self-deprecatingly tweeted words. You know? As Dr. Maya Angelou once said, "It's the soul that needs a surgery." [Us Weekly]

Casper Van Dien, the actor perhaps best known for his group shower scene in Starship Troopers, as well as the group shower scene from Starship Troopers 3, recently experienced a scare to rival any giant alien bug or sudden career downturn. On Sunday morning, his daughter awoke to discover a stranger sleeping in the living room of their Miami home! The police were called in and the man's explanation was about what you'd imagine: He'd stumbled home drunk from a bachelor party and assumed that the first unlocked front door he tried was the rented mansion his buddies were staying in. But it was not! It was Casper Van Dien's home! Personally I appreciate the man's instincts, but the experience was probably not worth 18 hours in jail in my opinion. The arresting officers definitely had the right idea though; click on over to TMZ (sorry) to see the photo they took with Casper Van Dien in his driveway! [TMZ]

Today may not be #FollowFriday, but still: Kristen Chenoweth maintains a Twitter account widely believed to be, what is the term? Ambien-enhanced? Between bizarre, late-night musings and truly strange selfies, you may want to consider following her. Tip of the day!
