Alec Baldwin does not like the media. Alec Baldwin is going to appear on Law & Order: SVU . Alec Baldwin will, of course, play a newspaper columnist on said show.

After declaring in a New York magazine cover this week that he's done with public life, news broke today about the details surrounding his SVU appearance. He will play Jimmy MacArthur, a newspaper columnist whose "reporting  interferes with the investigation [of a hate crime/rape case], which has a ripple effect when the case goes to trial," executive producer Warren Leight said in a statement via Deadline. Meanwhile, Yahoo's "global news anchor" Katie Couric will play a talk show host who interviews Baldwin's character. (Showing real range there.) The episode will be directed by SVU star Mariska Hargitay, so that's exciting.

Will Baldwin's portrayal of someone in the media be flattering? Take your guesses!
