Bob Dylan Ad Outrage Is So 2004
Bob Dylan's been in you-did-an-ad-you're-a-sell-out land before.
So Bob Dylan did a Super Bowl ad for Chrysler. It wasn't quite Quvenzhané Wallis for Maserati or Ben Kingsley for Jaguar but it was better than Laurence Fishburne for Honda and Johnny Galecki and Richard Lewis for Hyundai. (Update, 10:02 p.m.: Oh, and the Muppets for Toyota, which was the best of all.)
Still, because it's Bob Dylan and he's a counterculture icon, it drew the usual accusations of selling out:
It was a little hard for me to see Bob Dylan sell out. I guess I'm not as cynical as I thought I was.

How many roads does Bob Dylan have to drive on in a Chrysler before you call him a sell out?

That Bob Dylan, Chrysler commercial was disappointing and sad on so many levels. Proof that there are very few not willing to sell out.

Or, as this guy said:
Bob Dylan selling Chrysler is like Gloria Steinem selling Victoria's Secrets #SB48

Sorry, guys. Bob Dylan's been a sell out for at least a decade now.
