Good news for people with diverse taste in entertainment! They won't have to worry about missing Girls and Looking because of the Super Bowl. HBO is moving new episodes of the shows that were originally set to air on February 2, a.k.a. Super Bowl Sunday—the fifth Girls episode of the season, and the third Looking episode—to Saturday February 1.

Girls and Looking will air at their normal times, 10:00 and 10:30 p.m., just on Saturday. True Detective, another Sunday show, will lead in with a re-run of their third episode (which debuts this coming Sunday) but otherwise will take the week off. Of course, if you don't happen to be a football person, you can watch Girls and Looking on Super Bowl Sunday. You'll just be watching reruns of the previous night's programming and thus hopelessly out of the Twitter loop.

This scheduling maneuver isn't unprecedented; HBO pushed Girls last year for the Super Bowl too

Now, if only they could also do this when the Oscars are on. Currently, an episode of Girls is scheduled to air on March 2.
