12 Years a Slave and American Hustle are basking in Golden Globes approval this morning, each picking up seven nominations when they were announced this morning. The nominations add fuel to the notion that this awards season is boiling down to a race between those two films. 

Elsewhere, a number of actors are walking away with multiple nominations for their work in television and film this year. Among them: Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Idris Elba.
