Caesar, that hyper-intelligent chimp that James Franco raised in the first of the rebooted Planet of the Apes movies, is back for the second and he doesn't look too happy.

Played once again by motion-capture god Andy Serkis, Caesar is also really the only connection to that 2011 film in the trailer for the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Matt Reeves (CloverfieldLet Me In) is directing this time around instead of Rupert Wyatt. The sequel jumps ahead in time so that the virus that began to spread at the end of the first movie has raged, leaving a band of human survivors, which includes Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, and Jason Clarke. The humans are seeking to "rebuild and reclaim the world [they] lost," but someone it doesn't look like that's going to be too easy to do. Caesar, face painted, looks pretty angry.
