Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak collapsed on the field at halftime during tonight's game against the Indianapolis Colts. While he did not have a heart attack or lose consciousness, and was seen speaking with attendants on the field at the time, he was loaded onto a stretcher and taken to a local hospital for the remainder of the game.
"All his vital signs are good. He did not have a heart attack. But they're still checking on everything with him,"Philips on Kubiak #Texans

There was some confusion when Kubiak went down, and NBC Sports was faced with decision about whether or not to proceed with their halftime show or stay with a breaking story, either of which would viewers wanting.
Some found the network's coverage of Kubiak as shameless.
NBC, maybe nix your halftime plan and cover Kubiak collapsing??

I'm sorry NBC. Showing highlights of today's game is a bad editorial decision. You go with the breaking news of Kubiak collapsing.

Is it me or is NBC's handling of this Kubiak story i n real time a total embarrassment?

Am I the only one who sees NBC spamming Kubiak's collapse as anything like ABC spamming the Theismann replay 28 years ago? #stayclassyNBC

How many times is NBC going to show that awful replay of Kubiak from halftime?

Others thought that the network handled a breaking news situation tactfully.
Kudos to NBC on how they handled the Kubiak incident tonight.

Sorry, but I can't blast NBC for not staying on Kubiak initially. To do what? Speculate wildly? They let Tafoya gather info. Right call.

Kudos to NBC and @TafoyaNBCSports for the Kubiak coverage at half. No wild speculation, just patient fact gathering in a sticky situation.

Vast majority of my timeline thinks NBC did a good job on the Kubiak situation. Intriguing.

While the Texans were up 21-3 at the half, they ended up losing to the Colts 27-24.
