Anthony Weiner just can't catch a break today. First, it turns out his supporters are really just paid actors. And now, one of the leading feminists of our time, novelist Erica Jong, is tweeting semi-dirty limericks about his fall from grace.

Anthony Weiner just can't catch a break today. First, it turns out his supporters are really just paid actors. And now, one of the leading feminists of our time, novelist Erica Jong, is tweeting semi-dirty limericks about his fall from grace.

Jong is a proud feminist whose much-acclaimed 1973 novel Fear of Flying brought into existence the term "zipless fuck" (among its other accomplishments). It is thus no surprise that the unabashedly political Jong has decided to excoriate the louche Weiner, though it is not entirely clear why she chose the limerick format to do so.
