While it may seem like everyone and their mother is talking about Mad Men today — Linda Cardellini this, Fat Betty that — here's a maybe deflating, maybe encouraging reminder: Not that many people watch Mad Men.

The season six premiere attracted 3.4 million viewers, meaning that more people watched Wife Swap last week than watched Mad Men Sunday night. So if you don't watch the show, don't feel left out. You are in the vast, vast majority of Americans. And if you do watch the show and can't stop crowing on about it? Maybe ease up just a little bit. It's a great show, yeah, but you're not talking to very many people.

Though, hey, take at least some comfort: Mad Men beat Community this week! Oh. Wait. You probably like that too, don't you?
