In 2005, Irish boxer Kevin McBride stole the spotlight from his famous opponent, only to drift back into obscurity. Now a family man in Boston, he's on a quest to get back into the ring. The story sounds like a Hollywood drama but it's a short documentary by Joshua Z. Weinstein, just released online and reviewed at Short of the Week. As Jason Sondhi notes, the cinematography and McBride's sincerity make the film much more than a series of sports movie clichés.
