According to Variety, Knowles officially dropped out of the project where she would be taking on the role played previously by Barbra Streisand and Judy Garland because of scheduling reasons. In a statement to E! the singer said: "For months we tried to coordinate our schedules to bring this remake to life but it was just not possible. Hopefully in the future we will get a chance to work together."

But let's just take a look at what Knowles and Eastwood have done in recent months. Knowles and her husband Jay-Z hosted a fundraiser for Obama. She appeared in an Obama campaign video talking about her daughter. Meanwhile, Clint Eastwood talked to a chair at the Republican National Convention.
