When Chocolate Rain Met 'Call Me Maybe'; Obama Boy Has a Crush, Too

We realize there's only so much time one can spend in a day watching new trailers, viral video clips, and shaky cell phone footage of people arguing on live television. This is why every day The Atlantic Wire highlights the videos that truly earn your five minutes (or less) of attention. Today:

Hey, we never promised you great. But what we do have is Tay Zonday, the guy most people remember as the "Chocolate Rain" guy, taking on "Call Me Maybe." Zonday is probably milking the last few seconds of fame here, but we will say that it's way better than the steaming turd that Colin Powell served up this morning. That said, it's also a lot creepier:

Speaking of creepy. We have no words for this nor do we have any desire to learn what kind of natural phenomena creates a lawn blister.  But we can't stop watching this undulating yard:

There you are, Terrence Malick! As Vulture points out, this is sort of a great find in that a) Terrence Malick, semi-reclusive Tree of Life director clearly refuses to be filmed, and b) TMZ completely didn't recognize him. It's fun watching Malick squirm--doubly fun watching the TMZ staff chortle, ask Benicio Del Toro dumb questions and not even recognize the rarely photographed or filmed director fidgeting in the background. (Sorry, you have to stick through a dumb Lohan segment until the clip starts at about 3:15).

What a difference four years makes. In 2008 we were wide-eyed and eager to jump on the Obama Girl train. And now, well we have Obama Boy, a Brooklynite also known as Justin Brown. It's got the same R.Kelly vibe here (no, no that one, this one) and it focuses on the president's evolution on same-sex marriage. Brown told Politico's Patrick Gavin that the Obama campaign is "cracking up" about the sequel, we on the other hand still don't know how to digest this piece of art and will just take his word for it:
