We realize there's only so much time one can spend in a day watching new trailers, viral video clips, and shaky cell phone footage of people arguing on live television. This is why every day The Atlantic Wire highlights the videos that truly earn your five minutes (or less) of attention. Today:

Well we hyped it, but John Lutz better known as the lovable Lutz on 30 Rock is finally getting the airtime he deserves. Sure, he has to split it with the scene-stealing Bill Hader in a sort-of forced skit about triplets, but hey, the whole thing is worth an afternoon giggle or three:

We'd like to propose the next video as the official trailer to New York City. This five-minute labor of love is the final product of videographer Cameron Michael lugging 120 pounds of video equipment around the city and patiently shooting time-lapse video at some of the city's most iconic locales. The results? Stunning. Stunning enough that the city's tourist board should just quit now and give Michael a job, and stunning enough to make you forget all that talk about sodas and a nanny state.

Let's stick around New York for about two more minutes and watch these daredevils idiots jump across subway tracks (behold the mega volts of electricity and rat feces below). This clip hits that sweet spot of tempting fate and danger while at the same time cursing at the fellows to get brains and not do this again:

And to end you Monday, check out this rescue of puppies. Because we don't like when bad stuff happens, we'll spoil it right now and tell you that the two dogs rescued out of the burning building are miraculously revived. Whew, no need to worry!  Happy Endings here. But as The Daily What mentions, this clip is actually from the documentary Burn--which still could use your support:
