Jimmy Kimmel Really Hates Kids; Call Me Again Maybe

We realize there's only so much time one can spend in a day watching new trailers, viral video clips, and shaky cell phone footage of people arguing on live television. This is why every day The Atlantic Wire highlights the videos that truly earn your five minutes (or less) of attention. Today:

Jimmy Kimmel hates children. Not like hates-hates them, but like enough to tweak them often, and the best part is that he usually gets parents in on his wicked jokes.We laughed when he got parents to give their kids terrible Christmas presents (both parts), and chortled when he got them to wake their children up during summer, and giggled at their Halloween prank. This time, with the help of his Truth Fairy and a fake lie detector, Kimmel took his kid-tormenting into his own hands:

Also making the rounds from the late night circuit is a video from Conan O'Brien. Well actually, it's 30 Rock's Jack McBrayer a.k.a. Kenneth the Page, and his visit to Chicago's infamous Wiener's Circle. If you've ever been, part of the appeal is being verbally abused while placing your order. The video works primarily because we don't exactly know where Kenneth the Page ends and McBrayer begins. Oh, and of course the verbally abusive Wiener Circle crew keep up their end of the bargain:

And we have a video displaying the resiliency of the human spirit: a man in a motorized scooter who won't take no, or stairs for an answer:

And finally, we've been inundated with "Call Me Maybe" versions, and covers and whatnot. And perhaps it's a testament to the songwriters behind this pop behemoth that despite each version that we see or hear, we still are thirsting for more (no, the Darth Vader version will not suffice, and neither will the Abercrombie models). That said, here is our Friday gift to you:  an earnest, and really great disco version of "Call Me Maybe" complete with slow jam breakdown:
