We realize there's only so much time one can spend in a day watching new trailers, viral video clips, and shaky cell phone footage of people arguing on live television. This is why every day The Atlantic Wire highlights the videos that truly earn your five minutes (or less) of attention. Nancy Pelosi wants to "Stop Colbert" but not for real, presenting the case for seeing animals at their worst, and there's a complete history of Apple to bring on buyer's remorse.

Nancy Pelosi has released a new video called "Stop Colbert" that's not about stopping Stephen Colbert from starting a Super PAC to benefit the GOP presidential nominee. It's funny, but shows the risk of being too tongue-in-cheek. When everyone's in on the joke, it ceases to play as a joke, and just becomes people fighting over the DISCLOSE Act. [Nancy Pelosi]

This montage of every Apple product ever is great for Apple fanatics who want to play "Name that PowerBook!" It's also great for the rest of us, though it's inevitable you'll see one purchase you wish you could take back. For us, it was the chunky Nano. So unwieldy. [robbeschizza via BoingBoing]

Kristen Bell's embarrassing and emotional story about meeting a giant sloth for the first time was compelling and silly television. After being Auto-Tuned, it remains compelling and silly, but now is much pitchier. [The Ellen Show]

The Internet -- for reasons that are understandable and reasonable -- enjoys pictures and videos of animals doing adorable things. We like that as well, but we also occasionally like seeing animals act like animals. Sometimes it's scary and bloody, as it is here, when a bunch of monkeys go bananas. But we've seen the cute babies. We owe it to them to check back in on how they're doing as big, brawling adults. [National Geographic]
