Who's Performing on the Grammys Tonight?

Jennifer Hudson's planned medley of Whitney Houston's biggest hits will undoubtedly be one of the most memorable and emotionally charged Grammy performances, ever -- and there's a lot more on the schedule. Just don't expect any Lady Gaga hatchings.

Tonight could bring historic ratings for the Grammy Awards, coming just 24 hours after the death of superstar vocalist Whitney Houston. And Jennifer Hudson's scheduled medley of Houston's biggest hits will undoubtedly be one of the most memorable and emotionally charged Grammy performances, ever. But there's a lot more scheduled:

Adele will perform for the first time since undergoing vocal cord surgery last fall. The Beach Boys have reunited for their first public performance in 20 years -- they'll be accompanied by Foster the People and Maroon 5. Indie singer-songwriter duo The Civil Wars will play to their largest audience ever. Coldplay and Rihanna will duet on their boring collaboration, "Princess of China." A dance/electronica segment in a tent outside the Staples Center will feature Chris Brown, Deadmau5, Foo Fighters, David Guetta, and Lil Wayne. (Yes, Deadmau5 is playing the Grammys.) Living legends Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band and Paul McCartney are both slated to perform (McCartney's new album, "Kisses on the Bottom," is a sleepy album of standards.) Alicia Keys will duet with Bonnie Raitt on a tribute to Etta James. Jazz and funk saxophonist Maceo Parker is scheduled to play. And music award show mainstays Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry will all perform, duh.

But what about the two biggest (feuding) musical artists on everyone's lips these days? AKA Madonna and Lady Gaga? Neither are scheduled to appear, though Madonna's Super Bowl collaborator Nicky Minaj, is. M.I.A. will likely be throwing the entire endeavor a middle-finger salute from somewhere inside her Brentwood estate.
