Soderbergh Shoots 'Hunger Games'; Ratner Produces the Oscars

• Brett Ratner will produce the Oscars. The X-Men: The Last Stand and Rush Hour director was tabbed by The Academy along with Don Mischer--the producer behind the Franco/Hathaway pairing last year. [Vulture]
• Steven Soderbergh is shooting Hunger Games. Reports surfaced over Twitter yesterday that Soderbergh was on set, and it's been confirmed that the Erin Brockovich director is doing second-unit shooting for the popular book trilogy-turned-movie. He's reuniting with pal and Games director Gary Ross, who did the writing for Pleasantville, which Soderbergh also produced. [Indiewire]
• Anthony Weiner is selling his Queens co-op. "Sources say they've [he and his wife] been looking at apartments outside of the ex-congressman's Queens and Brooklyn District" and that their "875-square-foot pad was listed at $449,000 in June." [Page Six]
• Jill Abramson took Vanity Fair's "Proust Questionnaire" for its September issue. WWD gleaned that The Times's soon-to-be executive editor enjoys re-reading The Great Gatsby and lists Robert Caro, Maureen Dowd, and Jane Mayer as her favorite writers. [WWD]
• The proceeds from Amy Winehouse's duet with Tony Bennett will go towards her charity. Winehouse's final recording, "Body and Soul" will go on sale in September and earnings will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation--a newly-established organization set up by the singer's family. • Designer and Project Runway judge Michael Kors is getting married. Us confirmed last night that the designer and partner Lance LePere received their marriage license in New York City this week. ""We have no plans for a major party," Kors said. "But we will be getting married privately." [Us]
• Harvey Weinstein and Anna Wintour will host a fundraiser for President Obama next week at Weinstein's New York home. The $71,600-per couple event already has a guestlist that boasts "Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin, Lyor Cohen, Tory Burch, Alicia Keys and Quentin Tarantino."
