Jon Stewart Defends Michele Bachmann Against Newsweek
He becomes the latest to criticize the magazine's bizarre cover
Michele Bachmann can be called many things, but you can't say she isn't photogenic. So says Jon Stewart as he becomes the latest to pile on to Newsweek's latest unfortunate-looking cover of the bewildered looking GOP presidential candidate. And it wasn't an accidental photo, he argued, before saying of Newsweek: "You've got to go pretty far out of your way to find a crappy photo of Michele Bachmann, and you did...why?" After batting down editor Tina Brown's assertion that it captured an image of her "intensity," he compared the cover to the movie poster of The 40 Year Old Virgin--which is pretty similar visually:
