It shouldn't be much of a surprise that the fantastic castles and weird critters in HBO's fantasy series Game of Thrones are mostly computer generated. Seeing just how much stuff can be created with a computer, though, is pretty cool. BlueBolt, the studio that crafts the special effects for Game of Thrones as well as blockbusters like Pirates of the Caribbean, recently posted a video showing scene's from the show's first season in various states of CGI. Whether you've seen the show, read the books, on or couldn't care less about the latest fantasy meme, it's fascinating to see what an incredible effect CGI has had on filmmaking.
