Jon Stewart summed up the messy week of debt ceiling negotiations Thursday evening in a sweeping segment that criticized the president's ability to keep the American people calm and, of course, his poker strategy. He criticized the president for not making a more "Rooseveltian" effort to deflate the tension surrounding the impending failure of the American economy. Stewart also recognized how difficult a time Obama has been having in the debt meetings, because the name "Eric" completely deflates any point you could try and emphasize it with. Go do the dishes, Eric. You can't just cut Social Security spending, Eric. See, it doesn't help. Stay around at the end to hear his thought's on Michele Bachmann's "chootspa."
