Here at The Atlantic Wire, we respect and value the social media editors who share the links that make our jobs easier. Sometimes, though, we have no idea what they're talking about. So after a day of staring at Twitter, we're sharing our favorite head-scratchers.
Old-Timey Sexter: Amish man arrested inside horse & buggy after arriving for rendez-vous w/ girl, 12, via police sting http://nydn.us/mwJrjI
Twitter had a field day with this story, which is probably reasonable. We're holding out for a strong second-day piece about how he got the phone.
Is knowing history so important? http://wapo.st/j7WFS1
This is a tough question. On one side is every frustrated sixth-grader who has been forced to memorize Civil War battlesites. On the other, everyone who has ever needed a quick apohrism about repeating mistakes. Both have compelling arguments for and against.
RT @johnsberman: OK, I just watched a hairless rat get neutered. http://on.fb.me/lb7HWV A bad day for the rat. Good piece for @Nightline
We're guessing stories like these weren't what attracted Katie Couric to ABC News. Then again, you never know.
Margarine bootleggers sent to federal prison http://bit.ly/jSjqAh
We'll admit it: we thought butter bootlegging was a state offense.
Watch this happy dog hop around with his new bionic legs | http://ti.me/l4zrYY (via @Techland)
He should be happy. He has bionic legs. We'd be happy if we had bionic legs.
Picture of the Day: Abraham Lincoln cyborg tattoo http://t.co/Om1f5dr
It's impossible not to click on this link. It cannot be done. Even if you know Abraham Lincoln doesn't have a cyborg tattoo.
