Libertarianism is all the rage these days, but is the movement's pro-gold, pro-gun philosophy as indebted to Eminem as it is to Ayn Rand? Mother Jones's Kate Sheppard ponders this question in a new quiz in which she challenges the reader to determine whether the quote in question comes from a rapper or libertarian. The result is both difficult and a reminder of how few great hip-hop songs have explicitly referenced the Federal Reserve. Among the quotations we had the most trouble with:

  • "Cash rules everything around me."
  • "I learned to earn because I'm righteous
  • "So you think that money is the root of all evil? Have you ever asked what is the root of money?"
  • "America needs fewer laws, not more prisons."
