'Inception' Re-Told as Political Process Drama

The new hit film "Inception" tells the story of a high-priced firm that can enter the dreams of a target. In the film, a man named Saito hires them to try to break up a competing company. Action and drama ensue. But liberal political blogger Matthew Yglesias asks, shouldn't this movie really be about "political economy" and lobbyists? Yglesias explains:

Instead of investing all that time, energy, and money in a longshot cinematic dream-busting effort, wouldn’t it make more sense to just launch a PR and lobbying campaign to get anti-trust authorities (or other regulators) to do the job? That’s all even perfectly legal. And the film makes it clear that Saito has a fair amount of political pull as is.

And now the world can only wait for Aaron Sorkin to announce "Inception 2: Nightmare on K Street."
