Joni Mitchell vs. Bob Dylan

Veterans of the 1960s folk movement and popular music mainstays Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan have a long history of playing together. Mitchell played in Dylan's famed 1975 Rolling Thunder Revue concert tour. The two also joined on stage for The Band's "Last Waltz" final concert, and toured together again in 1998. They both write brooding, acoustic guitar songs about things like sitting in dark cafes, after all. Clearly they have a lot in common. So it's surprising to see that, in a rare and recent interview, Mitchell had some harsh words for Dylan:

Bob is not authentic at all. He’s a plagiarist, and his name and voice are fake. Everything about Bob is a deception. We are like night and day, he and I.
