Happy Hour Vid: Right Grudgingly Accepts Flat Conservative SNL Skit

Bloggers bemused by an unfunny, yet conservative offering from SNL

The Wire likes to bring you funnier fare, but today there's a video making the rounds for being conspicuously not funny. The video in question is a Saturday Night Life sketch trashing government employees. It's pretty dull, but what makes it interesting is that it runs distinctly counter to SNL's typically leftward bent.

"I'm tempted to call this something that the staff of [libertarian magazine]  'Reason' might have come up with," writes Allahpundit at conservative blog Hot Air, "except that if 'Reason' had written it, it might have been funny." Nevertheless, Allahpundit and a number of far more conservative bloggers feel bound to feature it: "Right-wing SNL sketches are a rare enough species that they're worth displaying even when the quality's as low as it is here."
