Try on a Pair of Jeans, Get a Free Smart Phone
This is real, somehow. American Eagle is offering free smart phones -- like the BlackBerry Curve and the Droid Eris -- to anybody who tries on a new pair of $40 jeans. Naturally, there's a catch: Customers need to sign up for a two-year contract with a carrier to get a free phone:
After leaving the fitting room, customers will be given a card that explains where they can go online to select their phone and carrier.
More than 40 phones are available across carriers including AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile. New phones such as the Droid Eris by HTC, the BlackBerry Curve and the LG Ally are only available with new service plans. The iPhone is not included.
Plan prices vary depending on the carrier and features selected.
