The New York Times headlined its big web piece: "McCain Gains Early Edge in G.O.P. Race; Clinton Takes 2 Big Northeastern states."

This is a great headline for two reasons:

1) The story does not mention Hillary Clinton

2) One of the "big Northeastern states" she has picked up is New York, which was widely expected to go big for its senator.
