    There are 250 million children in Asia, exclusive of China, and one of the first and most touching responsibilities of the United Nations has been to improve their health. The successful fight which has been waged against trachoma, tuberculosis, malaria, and yaws is a story of almost incredible achievement, and no man is better placed to tell it than S. M. KEENY.Mr. Keeny served in the State Department during the war; he has been with the United Nations since it was organized, first as Chief of UNRRA in Italy and then as Supply Officer in Europe for the United Nations Children’s Fund.
