Dr. Mark G. Kris, Chief, Thoracic Oncology Service at MSKCC

Dr. Mark G. Kris is Chief of the Thoracic Oncology Service, Division of Solid Tumor Oncology, Department of Medicine, at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Attending Physician at Memorial Hospital for Cancer and Allied Diseases, New York, N.Y. Dr. Kris is a specialist in lung cancer and other tumors arising in the chest. He is particularly interested in developing strategies to choose treatments for patients based on molecular characteristics of their tumor specimens. His research also includes the use of cognitive computing (IBM’s WATSON) to assist physicians in choosing the best treatment for their patients.
