DAN JACOBSON was born in Johannesburg in 1929, graduated from the University of Wilwatersrand, and came to Leland Stanford on a fellowship. The author of five volumes of fiction, he now lives in London, where he is at work on a long novel.
As with many South Africans of English extraction, DAN JACOBSON is deeply disturbed by the isolation of his native land. A native of South Africa who is now living in London, DAN JACOBSON graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. At the age of twenty nine he has three novels to his credit, his most recent, THE PRICE OE DIAMONDS, having been published by Knopf this spring.
