Wendy Kopp is the chief executive officer and founder of Teach For America, a project she conceived in a 1989 undergraduate senior thesis. Since 2007, she has also led the development of Teach For All, an international education initiative. Four years into its development, the Teach For All network includes organizations in 23 countries across Europe, Asia, the Americas, and the Middle East.
Wendy is the author of A Chance to Make History: What Works and What Doesn’t in Providing an Excellent Education for All (2011) and One Day, All Children: The Unlikely Triumph of Teach For America and What I Learned Along the Way (2000). She lives in New York City with her husband Richard Barth and their four children.
