Why Messing With People Is the Best Job in the World

By Katherine Wells

“You’d be surprised,” says magician Tricky Henry, “some people actually get angry when they see something and they can’t figure it out. So you get both. You get joy, and surprisingly you get anger too.”

In this documentary portrait, Henry shows off some of his mind-bending tricks: coughing up a live dove, sticking a nail up his nose. He describes how he got into magic as a kid in Harlem and why his job is the best in the world.

Tricky Henry is one of the many New Yorkers profiled by Moonshot Productions in a series of the same name. The filmmakers discuss the project in an interview with the Atlantic Video channel here.
