Elderly Couples Dance to Their Wedding Songs

By Kasia Cieplak-Mayr von Baldegg

Even if you hate Valentine's Day -- that's understandable -- the latest video from the music collective cdza will melt your heart. Into a gooey little puddle. Four married couples share witty and sincere observations about life and love: Mike and Frances (married in 1942), Peter and Kenneth (2010), Irving and Sonny (1947), and Bernette and Sy (2012, after they met on JDate), all from the Whitney Bryant and Brookdale Senior Living center in New York City. And they dance to their wedding songs, performed by cdza with singer Britney Coleman.

"We can't dance together. We're both good dancers, but we cannot dance together because we don't concentrate on dancing!" Mike says, chuckling. "We get too close together, let's put it that way," Frances interrupts. Their love is a mystery to them, though. "I still don't know why she married me," Mike says, "but it was the greatest thing that ever happened to me."
