Live-Action 'Light Painting' Covers a City in Frozen, Glowing Streaks

By Kasia Cieplak-Mayr von Baldegg

Finnish post-production pro Anssi Määttä's eye-popping video has commenters guessing how he did it. If you're curious, check out some great examples of light painting photography at TheCoolist, as well as this stop-motion action movie, to get a sense of how long-exposures create the effect. Määttä says he didn't use stop-motion, however, telling commenters, "just go play with your camera and some lights. You'll figure it out :)." The music is Slow Magic's "Corvettte Casette."
