Public Safety 101: How California Earthquakes Work

NASA's educational film The Earthquake Below contrasts vibrant scenes from San Francisco in 1975 with dramatic footage of the 1971 San Fernando earthquake. It also features some amusingly psychedelic  intro graphics. While FEMA conducts a nationwide test of its Emergency Alert System on November 9, the Atlantic Video channel brings you a selection of archival films about safety through the ages.
