Reconception is a short documentary about the first full-spectrum reproductive rights center in the United States—a space where abortion, adoption, and birth services are all in the same facility. “The goal in bringing these services together is to remove the stigma of terminating pregnancy,” the filmmaker Yoruba Richen wrote in an email. Richen went inside the All-Options Pregnancy Resource Center in Bloomington Indiana, to speak to volunteers and women seeking counsel. The making of this film was supported by the Economic Hardship Reporting Project.
