With college graduation looming in her near future, Bianca Giaever, a filmmaker and radio producer, turned to six-year-old Asa Baker-Rouse for some perspective. As it turned out, young Asa had a good idea for a movie and some pretty compelling insights too. In the resulting short film below, Giaever interpreted his narration literally, word for word, as he tells the story of a big bear and a small mouse -- two friends who have an adventure in a swimming pool -- played by two full-grown people in costume. Discussing the story afterwards, Giaever and her scriptwriter share some charming observations on fear, happiness, and (obviously) pizza.
