Jaw-Dropping Dancers Move as If Possessed by Music in 'Happy'

More

Dancers' movements seem to bend the laws of physics in Wendy Morgan's latest video, a tour-de-force set in the fantastical world of what appears to be an old timey carnival. The French DJ collective C2C's catchy track, featuring Derek Martin, takes on a mystical dimension when, one by one, a cast of characters become animated by the same frenetically joyful force. Adding to the otherworldly feel, the lush cinematography looks a 19th-century daguerreotype. The dancers are Story Basquiat, Kemo, Worm, Outrage, Cedric Gardner, and King Charles, the choreographer. You might recognize Morgan's playfully surreal style from her other hit videos, like Janelle Monae's Tightrope. Watch full screen (ideally on repeat) and blast the music to ... feel happy.
