The Raw World of Street Skating in East L.A.

Skater Austen Gillette speeds past cars and onlookers in the busy metropolis.

Shot entirely from a moving vehicle, director Colin Kennedy follows Austen Gillette as he whirls by speeding cars, cross-country teams, and day laborers in neighborhoods of downtown and historic East Los Angeles. Quik, a video collaboration between Quiksilver and The Berrics, gives us a unique and mesmerizing glimpse into the gritty world of street skating.
