The Future of X: Julie Taymor on Film vs. Theater

"To me, the stories are the most important thing, and the stories have to lend themselves to the medium I'm working in," Taymor explains. Taymor has been successful across the spectrum -- her Broadway adaptation of Disney's The Lion King has been the highest-grossing musical of all time and she has directed several films, including Frida, The Tempest, and Across the Universe.
