As we approach the 30th anniversary of the sci-fi classic, this gem is essential viewing for any fan: a behind-the-scenes documentary from 1982, originally intended for audiences at conventions. Ridley Scott and his production team discuss how they approached designing the grimy, yet high-tech, universe of the film. The key, Scott explains, was balancing the futuristic setting, 40 years hence, with familiar, "Philip Marlowe"-inspired elements from 40 years earlier. The film was produced by M. K. Productions and resurfaced a few months ago on YouTube.
