More

With a hundred dancers and different shows in rotation every week, the costume shop at the New York City Ballet is a busy place. In this short documentary, Recreating a Tutu's Splendor, Marc Happel, the director of the studio, describes what goes into updating a classic tutu design from the 1970s. The director of the video, Galen Summer, talks about the making of the series in an interview here. Stay tuned for more short films from the New York City Ballet on the Atlantic Video channel.
