Cieplak-Mayr von Baldegg's work in media spans documentary television, advertising, and print. As a producer in the Viewer Created Content division of Al Gore's Current TV, she acquired and produced short documentaries by independent filmmakers around the world. Post-Current, she worked as a producer and strategist at Urgent Content, developing consumer-created and branded nonfiction campaigns for clients including Cisco, Ford, and GOOD Magazine. She studied filmmaking and digital media at Harvard University, where she was co-creator and editor in chief of H BOMB Magazine.

Kodak's Swinging '60s Commercial for Flashcube

Before digital photography pushed Kodak to the brink of bankruptcy, Kodak was hip. At least, that's what it's going for in this commercial from the sixties, featuring its Instamatic cameras and Flashcube technology -- four flash bulbs in one, to make party photography a snap. Courtesy of the Prelinger Archive, the spot works a mod dance party vibe, explaining, "It's this way, man. Drop in the film, get yourself a Flashcube, pop it on -- Take one! Take two! Take three! Take four flash pictures without changing bulbs! In color, of course."
