Before Ice Cube became a rapper, he studied architectural drafting. Here he introduces the L.A. he knows and loves, and visits the Eames House. He describes the designers' eclectic combinations of prefab materials as "mashups before mashups even existed." The video is part of a series produced by Pacific Standard Time, a collaborative effort between cultural institutions in Southern California to celebrate the arts scene in L.A. from 1945 to 1980.
